The upcoming orientation program will commence on April 23, 2025 9:00 AM. Orientation will span over three hours, followed by the live training on April 23 1:00 PM, and on April 24 and April 25 9:00 AM.

The Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories Protocol™ is a treatment designed to meet the needs of individuals dealing with symptoms of Post-traumatic Stress (PTSD). All registrants must self-register and sign all legal agreements.

This 19-21-hour (depending on profession) credit course was developed for all mental health professionals.

DESCRIPTION: The RTM Protocol™ is a therapeutic intervention that dissociates a client from their traumatic memory and then reimages the visual format elements of the memory such as color, speed, direction, etc. In doing so, neurologically separates the memory from its traumatic feeling.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate the framework and each step of the RTM Protocol™
  • Explain how to help others eliminate the feelings that accompanied their traumatic memories
  • Describe ways to increase your behavioral flexibility
  • Explain how to motivate your clients to work with you to use the RTM Protocol™
  • Restate the pre-screen & intake process for appropriate client selection
  • Summarize the diagnostic criteria and behavioral evaluation of clinical success
  • Role-play your visual and auditory acuity and calibration skills
  • Describe how to help a client regain their "center" if they become non-resourceful
  • Delineate how to quickly build rapport with challenging clients to address their trauma issues
  • Demonstrate confidence and competence in using the RTM Protocol™

TARGET AUDIENCE: All qualifying mental health professionals (i.e., licensed through state board or working under an independently licensed supervisor, graduate students must be on a licensing track and working under the supervision of a fully licensed mental health clinician.

CONTINUING EDUCATION (CE): Participants who demonstrate a successful administration of the RTM Protocol™ will receive 19-21-hours (depending on profession) of continuing education credit upon completion of the Orientation and 2.5 day live online or in person training. Note: Participants must complete follow-up certification process (treat 2 clients with the Protocol and then review the results with a coach in order to receive certification) to be able to use the protocol in their clinical practice.

National Board for Certified Counselors
The Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories Protocol™ has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit. The Research and Recognition Project Inc. is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-4671. (21 credits earned)

Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)
The Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories Protocol™ (#3936) is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by The Research and Recognition Project as an individual course. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: 09/02/2022 - 09/02/2024. Social workers completing this course receive 19 Clinical Continuing Education Credits.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Participants may register up to the Orientation date.

REFUND POLICY: Refunds will not be given after Orientation. In the event, RandR cancels a training, participants will receive 100% of their registration fee.

CANCELATION POLICY: The Research and Recognition Project reserves the right to cancel any training, up to five days before the start of any scheduled training if the training does not have enough participants. The RandR Project also reserves the right to cancel any training up to 24-hours before the first day of the scheduled training if something occurs beyond the Projects control (i.e., weather, natural disaster, sudden illness, or death or a relation to the trainer).

Robin C. Hampton, MS, LMHC
Robin is the owner of a private practice that provides mental health services and is the Executive Director of a non-profit that provides supervision of misdemeanor probation services. She specializes in trauma, conflict resolution, family court mediation, parent coordination, and social investigations. She recently took on the role of Global Director of Education and Training for The Research and Recognition (R&R) Project.

Daniel K. Blackwood, MA, LPCC
Daniel is the Director of The Evolution Group in New Mexico. He specializes in trauma recovery with couples and partners who want to recover from betrayal, gambling disorders, and addiction. Author of Integrity Recovery™, Daniel teaches, supervises, and is working on a new book on Mindfulness-Based Emotional Processing.
